Today I have received a very good feed-back from Jo, who ordered a pair of big slippers for her and her husband. It Says:

“We absolutely love our slippers, thank you so much. They are warm, cosy and really well made. The designs are brilliant too!”

It took meImage a lot of time to make them, I even ordered some extra wools from Tally Ho Carding company to please the overseas couple. The result worth it, here is a picture:

Recently I started to go to some of Auckland’s markets. I went to Parnell market on 24/08/2013 and today I have been to Devonport Craft market. I am still not sure if I would like to do it in a long term, we will see. Hopefully by Christmass I will have some loyal customers from my days spent on markets.

Today I took three pairs of kittens felted slippers for boys with me, along with other felted slippers, hats, soaps and bags. Here is a picture of these three pairs:Image

I am sending the smallest  lion design to Los Angeles tomorrow as it was ordered for a little 6 yo boy, other two will be on sale at my New Zealand on-line shop http://www.feltsoapgood.felt.co.nz

gggggrassI have not been writing for a long time now, And again I am returning to my passion – felting. With winter upon us in New Zealand it is time to wear the felted items, not just to make them. So I have made and even posted on Etsy few of them here https://www.etsy.com/shop/FeltSoapGood?ref=pr_shop_more .

Soutache necklace with glass pearl beads.

I have done this necklace using the glass pearls as I always have a soft spot for pearls, probably will make some jevelery using th real pearls one day, still have ot desided on design. This necklace does not have a closure, the narrow ends slides throw the opening on the other end, so the length can be adjusted. Once again, the silver metallic thread on soutache id a bit rugh on skin, so the item is better be warn over the clothes.

Soutache necklace with silver metallic braid, red coral beads, blue tourquose beads and blue glass seed beads.

I have made this necklace with the beads I ordered from Chinese bead shop on Etsy, It is lovely, even if I say so myself, but a little bit eachy becous of metallic thread.

Gelted merino wool hat beanie Grass and flowers

this felted beany was created from merino wool to complement other gray felted items like a butterfly bag and a butterfly scarf I have felted earlier this year. It has beads stitched over and some hand stitching on a green grass bream. The phote is taken in Devonport with the Auckland CBD as a back ground.

My frirst two soutache items - green pendant and pink brooch

Plastic beads, old button and few different peases of soutache – all I needed for these two small items.

Turquoise bracelets with soutache

Flat blue turquoise beads, green malachite beads, brown indian gemstone beads and coloured and silver soutache.

Silver and pink soutache necklace

Plastic beads and button with soutache and silver trimming make a nice sparkly necklace which is rather prickly becouse of metallic cover of the trimming.

Coral pendant with white soutache

Small and very light soutache pendant with red and pink coral beads and plastic teardrop beads.
